Diesel has three kids with his longtime girlfriend Paloma Jiménez, who he’s been with since 2007: 12-year-old Hania Sinclair, 11-year-old Vincent, and six-year-old Pauline Sinclair, who’s named after Diesel’s late Fast & Furious co-star Paul Walker. According to documents obtained by TMZ, Vincent will be making his big-screen debut as the younger version of his father’s character, Dominic Toretto. TMZ reports that Vincent filmed his scenes back in 2019 when he was just nine years old—and based on the above photo from Diesel’s Instagram, that appears to be the case. In Nov. 2019, he posted it with the caption: “They say Fast has become tradition… Cuidado con Vincentito… Haha. Generations… #Fast92020 #Fatherhood” While it’s unclear how much you’ll see of the young Dominic character, TMZ reports that Vincent got paid a daily rate of $1,005. Earlier in 2019, Diesel posted what appears to be a photo of him and his son on set with the caption: “And that’s how it goes. In that movie, the role was played by a young actor named Alex McGee. Like many productions over the past year, the release of F9, as the ninth movie in the Fast & Furious franchise is called, was pushed back by the pandemic. The movie was originally slated to premiere in May 2020 but will now be released on June 25, 2021. “When you make a good movie, your first goal is to make something that you can be proud of, and in the film business, you learn from the very beginning that when the film gets released, even without the pandemic, is rarely in your control,” Diesel told Entertainment Weekly in January. Diesel hopes the extra time will benefit the movie in the end. “When you really think about the quality of the movie, there’s more time you have to work in post-production, more time to get the shots right; it does give you a little bit of a cushion,” said Diesel.
